I run both group and individual Mindfulness classes in Winchester. I offer bespoke training for companies too. In addition to my private sessions I also run evening Mindfulness courses through Peter Symonds College leisure programme and a Mindful Movement and Meditation class. Mindfulness seems to be the buzz word at the moment although this effective way of living was developed in ancient times. It has been studied extensively since the late 1970’s and is a modern mental skill utilised in the workplace, at home, whilst eating, sleeping…in fact it can be integrated into all areas of your life. It is a cognitive technology available for everyone.  It uses the power of meditation and being ‘in the present’  for health, well being and relaxation. I offer Mindfulness in Winchester along with hypnotherapy for a wide range of issues.

Mindfulness means “paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, with qualities like compassion, curiosity and acceptance”

My courses are based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn who founded the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program at the University of Massachusetts to treat the chronically ill. This program sparked the application of mindfulness ideas and practices in Medicine for the treatment of a variety of conditions in both healthy and unhealthy people. I treat clients with mild and chronic pain at my Pain Management Clinic at The  Winchester Sports and Spine Clinic, using a combination of hypnotherapy and mindfulness techniques.

Mindfulness helps us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings so that instead of feeling overwhelmed by them, we feel able to manage them. Practising mindfulness can give you a greater awareness of your emotions, boost your attention and concentration and improve relationships.

Mindfulness can also help you to:

  • Reduce stress, anxiety, depression and pain
  • Step out of the Auto Pilot
  • Enhance your sense of wellbeing
  • Enhance your creativity and emotional intelligence
  • Learn how to respond rather than react
  • Learn how to live in the present moment away from past negative habitual responses

  • Boost your immunity

Anyone can learn mindfulness. It’s simple, you can practise it anywhere, and the results can be life-changing.

The Study Support Teachers all benefitted from a six week course in Mindfulness, led by Mandy Papas who led us through some very enjoyable and productive sessions in the Spring Term of 2015. I offer a 6-week 1-1 mindfulness course for teenagers. I will teach you the benefits of mindfulness and how to build it into your life – to help you manage all of those pressures in life.

Mindfulness for your Business and Team

I offer bespoke mindfulness workshops, taster sessions, group and 1-1 mindfulness training in the workplace. Training can be carried out either on or off-site. A combination of mindfulness services can be integrated into half or full days too. Flexible times to suit your business needs.
